Synopsis
A Limousine the Colour of Midsummer's Eve (Limuzīns Jāņu nakts krāsā, 1982) is a Latvian tragicomedy you can watch online on iFILM. Eighty-year-old auntie Mirta, living alone in a country village, wins a car in the lottery — a prize she can't even drive.
The news travels fast. Suddenly relatives she barely knew turn up at her gate, each one quietly calculating who deserves the car once the old woman is gone. For years only her neighbours had looked after her; now a nephew, his family and a former daughter-in-law all circle the prize.
