Synopsis

I'm Not a Robot (Ik ben geen robot, 2025) is Victoria Warmerdam's short film, available to watch online on iFILM. A music producer keeps failing the "confirm you're human" CAPTCHA, and over barely twenty minutes that small annoyance swells into a full existential meltdown.

The harder she clicks on traffic lights and crosswalks, the less sure she is of the obvious answer: what if she really isn't human? Warmerdam takes one absurd premise and pushes it until it raises the hairs on your neck, sliding between deadpan comedy and quiet dread. Ellen Parren, Henry van Loon and Thekla Reuten carry the cast.
