Behind the Shadows

Behind the Shadows (私家偵探, 2025) is a Hong Kong crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Louis Koo plays Au Yeung Wai Yip, a private eye who has spent years tracking missing people and tailing cheating spouses — a man used to reading other people's lies with a cold, steady eye.

Then a travel-agency owner walks in with an odd request: investigate his girlfriend. The woman turns out to be the detective's own wife. Chasing strangers' affairs is routine; facing the truth about your own marriage is something else. To make the hotel and catch the lovers, Au Yeung drops another job — a client searching for his missing fiancée. That choice costs everything: while he is gone, the fiancée is killed, and a tawdry affair curdles into murder.
