Synopsis
Séance Games: Metaxu (2024) is a horror thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A pack of social media stars gathers for a livestream to try METAXU, the online séance game everyone is talking about. To them it's just a digital ouija session, content for the algorithm.
It isn't. METAXU turns out to be less a game than a key, and the influencers crack open the Gates of Hell without meaning to. From there the film runs the genre's favorite trap: the players realize one by one that the session won't close, and whatever answered from the other side already knows everything about them. Eric Roberts shows up to lend the low-budget chiller a recognizable face.
