Boxer

Boxer (Bokser, 2024) is a Polish sports drama you can watch online on iFILM. A gifted young fighter is suffocating under communist Poland, so he runs. The one person who still believes in him all the way is his wife, and she goes with him.

In the West, the dream of a championship belt turns out to be no fairy tale. It's a string of grubby rings, shady promoters and the loneliness of being far from home. The hero takes punishment well beyond the ropes — every step toward the top costs him something he can't get back. Eryk Kulm plays a boxer for whom the ring is the only language he truly speaks.

Director Mitja Okorn lets the story breathe across two and a half hours, giving his lead real room to rise and to break on screen. This is a drama about the price of ambition rather than another highlight reel of pretty knockouts, and the R rating isn't there for show.
