Synopsis
A Long, Long Case (1977) is a Soviet courtroom drama from Lenfilm you can watch online on iFILM. Yevgeny Leonov plays a soft-spoken district prosecutor who turns relentless the moment someone's fate is on the line.
A killing looks open-and-shut — the culprit named, the motive plain. Then an offhand conversation with the suspect's mother reopens everything, and the easy case unravels toward a harder truth. To reach a fair verdict, he is ready to gamble his own standing. Directed by Grigori Aronov and Vladimir Shredel, with Vladimir Zamansky, Mikhail Gluzsky and a young Oleg Yankovsky. Patient, watchful cinema for anyone who prefers a mystery built on conscience rather than chases. Stream it on iFILM.
