Synopsis
Hotel Trainees (酒店实习生, 2020) is a Chinese youth romance you can watch online on iFILM — and its setup is as relatable as it is funny. Four hotel management graduates squeeze through a tough selection process to land internships at BYT, a prestigious international chain, and not one of them is really there for the work. Yue Ran, Ning Jiajia, Su Shan and Luo Fei each carry a private agenda that has very little to do with hospitality.
One is still raw from a breakup and treating the hotel as a recovery ward. Another is quietly angling to meet wealthy guests. The actual job — front-desk shifts, demanding clients, managerial pressure — catches all of them off guard. Romance and rivalry develop faster than any guest-service skills, and the hotel turns out to be a far more interesting place than anyone expected going in.
