Synopsis
The White Lotus (2021) is an HBO anthology series by Mike White that you can watch online on iFILM. Each season drops a new group of wealthy guests into a luxury resort for a single week — Hawaii in season one, Sicily in season two, Thailand in season three — and then watches as the paradise setting strips everyone down to what they actually are.
The guests arrive with money, problems, and the quiet assumption that both can be managed. The staff smile and absorb it. White is interested in class, bad faith, and the particular kind of unhappiness that money can't fix. F. Murray Abraham, Jennifer Coolidge, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins — the cast changes with each season; the discomfort does not.
