From there it's one trip across the border after another. Storybook characters keep landing in trouble, and the usual fix — a wave of magic — no longer does the job. What they need is a clear-headed kid and a few off-the-wall ideas, which is exactly Petya's specialty. Director Aleksey Lebedev keeps the episodes short, the jokes frequent, and the life lessons light on their feet.
