Instead of waiting for rescue, they build: improvised hydroelectric wheels, watercraft, elaborate contraptions assembled from whatever washed ashore. Each episode sets a new engineering problem and watches them work it out from scratch. Part wilderness survival, part garage-inventor show — and funnier than either genre usually manages alone.
