Synopsis
Zurab (2024) is a documentary by Ashot Gevorkyan, available to watch online on iFILM. It centers on Zurab Tsereteli, one of the best-known monumental sculptors of his era.
The film traces the artist from the very beginning: a boy from a poor family, a childhood spent in hard wartime years, and the slow climb toward a master whose work is recognized around the world. Across 74 minutes it builds the biography out of those early years, the search for his own visual language, and a long career in large-scale public art.
There is no grand summing-up here — more a calm account of how a difficult start grows into a life's work. For anyone drawn to artists' lives and the art history of the 20th century. Stream Zurab (2024) online on iFILM.
