Synopsis
Boží mlýny (2021) is a Czech crime comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. The title borrows from a Czech proverb — God's mills grind slowly but surely — and the show's premise is that Captain Feit's unit refuses to wait: they build elaborate traps and provocations to speed justice along.
Director Jan Hřebejk, who made the beloved Cozy Dens (Pelíšky), brings the same dry Central European humor to the procedural format. Martin Myšička plays Feit as a man of rigid procedures, which closes some cases and opens fresh complications in others. Vincent Navrátil and Eliška Křenková round out a unit where everyone has a notable blind spot — and where the criminals do eventually get what they deserve, just rarely by the route Feit intended.
