Jackass (2000) is the MTV show that formalized a genre — watch all episodes online on iFILM. Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, and director Jeff Tremaine gathered a crew of people who were willing to do genuinely dangerous or disgusting things to each other on camera, edit it into short sketches, and call it television.

No plot. No characters in the fictional sense. The show spawned a franchise of feature films and left a measurable crater in early-2000s youth culture.
