Synopsis
The Golden Mean (2010) is a Russian adventure film by Sergei Debizhev, available to watch online on iFILM. Alex is a fixture of the Moscow showbiz scene — a man of magazine covers and easy money. A chance discovery upends all of it: leafing through an old French magazine, he finds a photo of a huge casino win in colonial Cambodia and recognizes the figure in it as his grandfather, long believed dead.
Alex asks a former lover, now a French cultural attaché, to dig into the story, and the trail leads to Paris, where an inheritance has waited for him for decades. Its keeper is a high-ranking Freemason who hands over the winnings, fills in the truth about the grandfather, and draws Alex into the order and its secrets. The cast features Alexei Serebryakov, Renata Litvinova, Ksenia Rappoport, Viktor Verzhbitsky and Mikhail Efremov.
