Synopsis
My Favorite Ghost (2024) is a Russian drama by Anario Mamedov you can watch online on iFILM. Mitya, a playwright whose career never took off, comes home to find strangers living in his flat — a sharp-tongued thirteen-year-old named Nika and her older sister Dasha, an actress.
He sets out to throw the squatters out, then the truth lands. He's dead. Nika is the only person who can see him, and she becomes his one thread back — to finish the play he never wrote, to make sense of the life he wasted, to work out whom he actually loved. It's a quiet, melancholy piece where the ghost stands for things left unsaid rather than for scares. Worth a look if you like small, character-driven films that take their time.
