Synopsis
"God's Pocket" (2014) is a gritty urban drama you can watch online on iFILM. Actor John Slattery's directorial debut, shot in the working-class Philadelphia neighborhood of the same name. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays Mickey, a small-time crook scrambling to bury the truth about his stepson Leon's suspicious death.
The kid was trouble, and someone wanted him gone. Local newspaper columnist Richard Shellburn (Richard Jenkins) smells a story. Leon's mother (Christina Hendricks) wants answers. And Mickey has no money for the funeral, a body in the morgue, and people who'd rather the whole thing disappear.
