Synopsis
You Don't Know Me (2021) is a BBC crime drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Sarmad Masud. It adapts the debut novel by Imran Mahmood — a practicing barrister — in which a young Londoner named Hero (Samuel Adewunmi) fires his lawyer mid-trial and decides to address the jury himself.
The prosecution's case looks airtight. Hero's version of events is longer, messier and takes four episodes to tell in full. The series is structured as one extended first-person account — the audience hears exactly what Hero wants the jury to hear, and has to work out where the truth sits.
