Synopsis
Home Base (2022) is a Russian sports drama you can watch online on iFILM. With the season about to kick off in the Premier League, the provincial club Krasny Yastreb suddenly has no coach.
General manager Anton Danin gambles everything: going over the sponsors' heads, he hands the job to Elena Volkova — a Muscovite who already carried her side, Saiga, into the Champions League. That makes her the first woman ever to coach a men's team. The town gives her the cold shoulder. The locker room, the stands and the local press all agree that football is no place for a woman. Aleksandra Khromova plays Elena, alongside Svetlana Ustinova, Maksim Matveev and Igor Vernik.
