Goremyki (Season 1)

Goremyki (2022) is an absurdist Russian sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. One Moscow communal flat, three flatmates, and nonstop chaos.

Sharing the place are Gosha, a small-time phone dealer; Efim Maratovich, a tight-fisted near-pensioner; and Nikita, a musician who came to conquer the capital all the way from Vorkuta. It starts with petty squabbles over the kettle and the electric meter, then spins off anywhere it pleases — an alien invasion, a feud with an ancient Egyptian god, a trip to space, a jailbreak from the underworld, even the arrest of the real Santa Claus.

Director Nikita Tamarov blends cramped communal life with full-blown grotesque, and the cast sells it — Sergei Belyaev, Roza Khairullina and Varvara Shmykova clearly relish the silliness.
