Synopsis
Fractures (Vitjanir, 2022) is an Icelandic drama series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Eva Sigurðardóttir. After her husband's affair, Kristín — an ER doctor who runs on facts and protocols — packs up her teenage daughter and returns to the small fishing village on Iceland's west coast where she grew up.
The homecoming is not restful. Her mother, a medium who may or may not be receiving actual visitors from the other side, is managing bipolar disorder. A former boyfriend still lives nearby. Her daughter has gone quiet. Kristín, used to reading symptoms and making fast calls, finds none of that maps onto what's in front of her.
