Synopsis
Chuzhoy (2023) is a Russian crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. Banker Vladimir Orlov runs abroad to escape both a criminal case and the ex-partners who want him dead.
Cornered near the Finnish border, he washes up in a sleepy little town and, on pure impulse, steals the identity of a police major. From then on he runs two lives at once: by day he works ordinary local cases as a detective, by night he hunts for a way to slip across the border illegally. Big-city investigators and hired guns keep closing in.
Director Leonid Plyaskin keeps his hero on a permanent clock — one slip and the mask comes off. Kirill Pletnyov carries it, with Maryana Spivak and Alexander Bukharov alongside.
