Synopsis
Puncher (Панчер, 2024) is a Russian sports drama you can watch online on iFILM. Victor was a world boxing champion until one freak accident cost him his title and his freedom in a single stroke.
He leaves prison with nothing — no contracts, no fame, no money. The only paydays left are illegal underground bouts where nobody goes easy on him. In his spare hours he starts coaching boys from a children's home, among them twelve-year-old Kirill, who is autistic and doesn't respond to the usual methods. Victor's father is about all who still remembers the man he used to be.
Director Evgeny Tatarov keeps the focus off the ring and on the second chance: how do you stay human after life strips away everything you were proud of.
