Synopsis
Red Lines (Красные линии, 2024) is a Russian drama you can watch online on iFILM. Its heroine, Lena Ogurtsova, is a small-town woman who has spent years quietly writing her first novel. The manuscript isn't really about literature. It's her one way out.
Lena's marriage has taught her to read a room before she enters it, to measure every word against her husband's mood. Escape arrives from an unexpected direction: a writer she has idolized since girlhood opens a door and lets her in. But the idol sets the terms, and in this relationship only one person gets to decide where the lines fall. What looked like rescue slowly tightens into a different kind of cage.
Pop star Polina Gagarina takes the lead, alongside Alexandra Florinskaya, Ilya Lyubimov and Rostislav Bershauer, with Gamlet Dulyan directing. The 18+ rating earns itself: the show treats abuse and control as the trap they are, and it lands hardest in the moments when Lena can't yet name the dependency she has walked back into.
