Synopsis
The Haunted Palace (귀궁, 2025) is a South Korean historical fantasy series you can watch online on iFILM. Set inside a royal court, it lets the grudges of old spirits leak straight into the politics of the living.
A royal-library inspector named Yun-gap (Yook Sung-jae) is taken over by an imugi — Kang Cheol-i, a mythical sea serpent nursing a long hatred of the dynasty. Beside him stands Yeo-ri (Bona), granddaughter of a revered shaman and tipped to become a great one herself; the two share a childhood bond that grew into first love. The reform-minded king Yi Seong (Kim Ji-hoon) dreams of a stronger nation, yet the palace keeps producing horrors traced to vengeful female ghosts with scores to settle against the crown. To stop the dying, the three have to dig up what was done to those spirits while they still breathed.
