Synopsis
Enchaînés (2026) is a French historical drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Réunion Island, 1806. A man named Isaac, born a slave, discovers that the plantation owner is his father.
A cyclone strikes the estate. In the disruption that follows, Isaac is given a foreman's role — a step up, a crossing over. What had been a clear line becomes something harder to stand on. He now oversees the people he was enslaved alongside, and the series refuses to give him — or the viewer — a clean way through it. Director Laure de Butler sets the story in the colonial Indian Ocean world without using it as wallpaper; the historical specifics matter to the moral problem at the center.
