Synopsis
"A Matter of Taste" (Gaumes lieta, 2025) is a Latvian crime-comedy series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ruslan Fradkin. Waitress Emma and head chef Maxis run a restaurant closing in on its first Michelin star. Then someone turns up dead inside, and both of them are tangled in it.
Their solution is grimly practical: hide the body and carry on. The problem is Yanis — a detective who happens to be Maxis's best friend and a regular at the table — starts investigating the case. He does not know what he is looking for. They know exactly what he will find. Dainis Grūbbe, Toms Liepājnieks and Lolita Stūrmane lead the cast.
