Synopsis

Max grew up watching her mother play the scream queen in a cheesy 1980s slasher. After her mother's death, the grief has nowhere to go. Then, at a retro screening of that exact film, Max and her friends are pulled through the screen and into the movie itself. The summer-camp setting, the stock characters, the unstoppable killer on his predictable schedule — all of it is now terrifyingly real. And one of those stock characters is a twenty-something version of Max's mother, who has no idea what's coming.
