Synopsis

Two decades ago, Gracie and a teenage Joe became a scandal the whole country read about. Now they're married, raising twins and guarding the shape of an ordinary life. Natalie Portman is Elizabeth, the star who studies Gracie up close, borrows her gestures and slowly pries loose what the couple has buried even from themselves. Julianne Moore and Charles Melton play the two people being examined like a specimen.
