Synopsis
Einstein is a 2017 German crime-comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Felix Winterberg (Tom Beck) is Albert Einstein's great-great-grandson — and, as it turns out, the one person in the family line who actually inherited the physics mind. He also inherited a terminal hereditary illness that puts his ceiling somewhere around forty.
Felix treats the diagnosis as a deadline, not a sentence. Illegal stimulants keep his thinking sharp. The police keep finding reasons to arrest him; he keeps avoiding a cell by agreeing to help them instead. Not exactly by choice. Directed by Thomas Jahn among others, the show pairs a genuinely odd premise with Beck's performance — Felix finds the whole situation darkly funny, and that tone carries the series further than it has any right to go.
