Synopsis
Sun Records (2017) — watch online on iFILM — is a US drama series set in Memphis at the moment country music and Black R&B collided and came out the other side as something no one had a name for yet. Sam Phillips, played by Dustin Ingram, runs a small recording studio on Union Avenue and trusts his ear more than any business plan.
The musicians who walk in are Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis — none of them famous yet. Drake Milligan plays a young Elvis still working out what he sounds like; the show captures those months of experimentation before the world decided he was a phenomenon.
