Lavrova's Method (2011) is a Russian detective drama you can watch online on iFILM. Svetlana Khodchenkova plays Katerina Lavrova, the most reliable investigator in her MVD department — until a single incident during an operation forces her out. Directors Andrei Ushatinsky and Vlad Nikolaev, with Pavel Priluchy, Yuri Baturin and Yaroslav Zhalnin in supporting roles.

Rather than disappearing, Lavrova pivots: she takes a position teaching criminology at the MVD Academy and starts taking private cases. Her methods — unconventional, effective, and grating to anyone who prefers paperwork to results — split the faculty straight down the middle. The cases are interesting; the faculty politics are sharper.
