Synopsis
Over the Sky (君は彼方, 2020) is a Japanese animated fantasy film you can watch online on iFILM. Set in Tokyo's Ikebukuro district, the 95-minute feature features voice performances by Honoka Matsumoto, Toshiki Seto, and Saori Hayami.
Mio and Arata have been close since childhood. When her best friend admits she loves Arata, Mio realizes she does too — but says nothing, playing along to keep everyone happy. After a fight pushes them apart, Mio rushes out in the rain to make things right. She wakes up somewhere that looks like Ikebukuro but isn't quite right.
The alternate world she finds isn't built on action or spectacle. It's assembled from the things left unsaid between two people — a kind of emotional physics where unspoken feelings take on shape.
