Synopsis

Golden Double (2026) is a football drama that's ready to watch online, built around a coach nobody on his new team wants around.

Spartak legend Nikita Simonyan takes charge of Yerevan's Ararat and commits to an outcome that's barely happened before: winning both the league title and the national cup in the same season. His own locker room won't back him — the captain undermines his tactics — while a rival coach is willing to play dirty to keep the trophy out of Armenian hands. Yegor Beroev, Ksenia Alfyorova, Sergei Shakurov and Sergei Gazarov lead the Russian cast, alongside Armenian actors Babken Chobanyan and Anahit Kirakosyan.

Director Mher Mkrtchyan keeps the camera in dressing rooms and boardrooms more than on the pitch — this is a film about stubbornness surviving indifference, not about goals. Golden Double skips the usual sports-movie swagger, and iFILM has it ready whenever you want to press play.
