Synopsis
Kukushonok is a Russian buddy-cop comedy you can watch online on iFILM right now. Veteran detective Pyotr Kuvaldin gets stuck training Klim Kukushkin, a reckless rookie who happens to be a wealthy sponsor's son.
Klim's entire idea of policing comes from action movies and pulp novels, not actual fieldwork. His father, Yefim, quietly funds the city police and hopes the daily grind will bore his son back into the family business — instead, Klim's sharp eye starts catching holes in cases that were stitched together in a hurry. Director Oleg Shtrom pits a burned-out pro against a starry-eyed amateur, and that mismatch is where the show gets its bite.
