Synopsis
Hacks (2021), Season 3 is the Max comedy-drama about stand-up you can watch online on iFILM — nine episodes set a year after Deborah and Ava went their separate ways.
She's coasting on the success of her special. Ava has built a new life in Los Angeles, and both of them try hard to stay out of each other's orbit. It doesn't last. A sudden Late Night vacancy pulls mentor and protégé back together, and the show turns the whole season into one long campaign: a roast, a golf tournament with cable affiliates, a Christmas party shadowed by Deborah's sister Kathy. Then a supercut of her ugliest early jokes leaks at the worst possible moment, and everything she's chased is suddenly fragile. Ava lands a dream offer and has to weigh what her own voice is worth.
Jean Smart runs the thing with total command, and the finale flips the power between the two women so hard there's no walking it back. The strongest run the series has done yet. Stream Hacks Season 3 online on iFILM.
