Synopsis

Star Trek: Enterprise Season 4 — 22 episodes, watch online on iFILM. The final season brings the NX-01 home from the Xindi war for exactly one episode before the next crisis starts.

Season 4 abandons the single-arc structure for a chain of two-and-three-episode mini-stories, each with its own villain and stakes. Romulan drone ships provoke Andorians and Tellarites into shooting at each other. Brent Spiner guest-stars as criminal geneticist Arik Soong, whose Augments — engineered descendants of the Eugenics Wars — nearly drag Earth into a Klingon conflict. A Vulcan reformation rewrites the planet's political order. Then Terra Prime, a xenophobic human faction, points a weapon at Starfleet Command and demands all non-humans leave the solar system before the coalition talks can form anything resembling a Federation.

For longtime Trek viewers this season quietly closes the gaps the classic series left open: why TOS Klingons look the way they do, where early Romulan drone technology originated, how four species that distrust each other end up as founding members of the Federation.
