A chance meeting with Sydney Barrett flips everything. David is pulled out of the ward and into Summerland — a sanctuary for people like him, run by Melanie Bird — where his supposed delusions are treated as data, not symptoms. With the help of a memory-walker named Ptolemy, he begins excavating the fractured past he could never quite trust. The further back he goes, the clearer it becomes that something else has been living in his head for a very long time. Outside, Division 3 is hunting for Summerland, and David is running out of time to understand what he really is.

Noah Hawley, who turned Fargo into a prestige anthology, shoots the first season as a shifting psychological maze — unreliable perspective used as a genre tool, not just a trick.
