Synopsis

It started with tractors. Ferruccio Lamborghini assembled them from surplus military parts left behind after the war, and the money rolled in. Then Enzo Ferrari brushed him off with one rude remark — so Ferruccio set out to build a faster car than the man who insulted him. The film cuts between the stubborn young mechanic (Romano Reggiani) and the aging tycoon played by Grillo, with Gabriel Byrne as Ferrari and Mira Sorvino alongside.
Shot across Italy and the United States, the story draws on the memoir written by the carmaker's own daughter.
