Synopsis

The fifth and final season of Friday Night Lights (2006) is thirteen episodes you can watch online on iFILM — and this time East Dillon plays for keeps. The Lions are no longer the underdogs; the whole town now expects a state title.

Bigger expectations, heavier weight. Coach Taylor feels the team slipping from his hands — a scandal, booster pressure, outside hands reaching for his young players. Vince's past catches up with him, Luke carries the load as QB-1, and the older crowd — Billy, Becky, Tim — sort through grown-up trouble of their own. Meanwhile Tami is handed a chance that could pull the Taylors out of Texas for good.

This is the goodbye to Dillon. Peter Berg lands the show on an honest, earned ending rather than a loud one — no cheap sentiment, no false notes.
