Synopsis
Someone Like You... (2001) is a romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Tony Goldwyn and starring Ashley Judd, Hugh Jackman, and Greg Kinnear. The film takes a familiar heartbreak setup and adds an unusually funny pseudoscientific detour.
Jane Goodale produces a popular New York talk show and falls hard for the show's dashing executive producer Ray. They start apartment hunting together. Then Ray vanishes — no explanation, no goodbye. Jane concludes that men are basically animals following mating-season instincts, and decides to prove it by studying her charming, serially unfaithful roommate Eddie. Hugh Jackman plays Eddie with the kind of easy charisma that makes Jane's theory look shakier by the day. Marisa Tomei rounds out the cast as Jane's sharp-tongued colleague.
