Synopsis

With their daughter away for the holidays, the Krank house suddenly feels far too quiet. Luther adds up everything the family burns on lights, turkey and gifts each December and pitches his wife a bold deal: skip Christmas entirely this year and spend the money on a Caribbean cruise instead. No tree, no carolers at the door, no inflatable Frosty on the roof like every other house on Hemlock Street. The trouble is that the neighborhood is not about to let one family quit tradition, and the block, led by Vic Frohmeyer, mounts an all-out campaign to bring the Kranks back in line.
