Synopsis

The island belongs to a sealed religious community led by a preacher played by Michael Sheen. The sect holds the woman for ransom — their crops are dying, money is short, and her father is rich. Posing as a new convert, the brother slips into the settlement and starts watching its rites. The longer he stays, the clearer it becomes: something far older and hungrier than fanaticism feeds beneath the prayers.
