Synopsis

Stock analyst Nick Halloway dozes off in a research lab on the wrong morning. A botched experiment vaporizes part of the building and leaves him completely transparent. No reflection, no shadow, no way to prove he exists. Then a ruthless CIA handler named David Jenkins, played by Sam Neill, learns what happened. An invisible man would make the perfect agent, so the chase begins. Nick's only ally is documentary maker Alice, played by Daryl Hannah.
Carpenter, the mind behind Halloween and The Thing, swaps horror for a paranoid game of hide-and-seek. The invisibility shots were built frame by frame in 1992, long before easy CGI, and the effort shows in every empty coat and floating cigarette.
