Synopsis
Watch Hot Pursuit (2015) online on iFILM for a road trip with the worst-matched duo in Texas. By-the-book officer Rose Cooper draws an assignment to escort the glamorous widow of a cartel witness to court, and the simple transport job falls apart almost immediately.
Cooper follows every rule. Daniella follows none. One quotes regulations, the other travels in heels with a suitcase of outfits. After gunmen ambush the convoy and dirty cops turn up among Cooper's own colleagues, the two women have to run across the state together while driving each other crazy. Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara lead the cast, directed by Anne Fletcher.
The action comedy lives on the clash of two tempers and Vergara's fast Spanglish energy. Chases, disguises and bickering tumble over each other with barely a breather. It is light evening viewing for fans of female buddy comedies that pack a few shootouts and zero pretension.
