A man in a spotless white suit strolls into Manhattan. Perfect posture, slightly off smile. His name is Dave Ming Chang, and he is not a man — he is a spaceship. Inside, a crew of tiny aliens from a dying planet navigate the controls, each one managing a different body part like employees in a call centre. Their mission: recover a small orb that landed in New York, the only thing that can save their world. The problem is a kid already found it, and Dave's captain (also Murphy, knee-high) is starting to like Earth a little too much.

The comedy is almost entirely physical — Murphy plays a robot being operated by a committee, stiff-backed and deadly serious, while Elizabeth Banks plays the New Yorker who befriends him.
