Synopsis
The Jack in the Box: Awakening (2022) is a British horror film you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Lawrence Fowler as a follow-up to his original Jack in the Box. A dying woman cracks open an antique clown-in-a-box and strikes a bargain with what crawls out: six innocent lives in exchange for her health.
The demon — played by James Swanton — is the film's real asset. He's a long, angular presence that moves wrong, like a puppet whose strings are slightly off. Matt McClure and Mollie Hindle-Pérez play the people unfortunate enough to get in the creature's path as the body count ticks toward six. The story stays tight and doesn't overstay its 93-minute runtime.
