Synopsis

The victim of Adam Desiato's hit-and-run turns out to be the son of New Orleans crime boss Jimmy Baxter. Rather than let Adam face the consequences, Judge Michael Desiato starts covering it up — and each lie pulls another person into the web: friends, colleagues, a persistent detective, an anonymous blackmailer. Adam, kept in the dark, drifts into a dangerous relationship that brings him uncomfortably close to the Baxter family. Meanwhile, Jimmy's other son Carlo is standing trial in Michael's own courtroom, which gives Jimmy exactly the leverage he needs.
