Synopsis

DS June Lenker is early enough in her career to believe the system gets it wrong sometimes. DCI Daniel Hegarty has spent years making sure it at least looks right. The call points to Errol Mathis, already serving time for murder, and June becomes quietly certain he didn't do it. Hegarty closed that case. He intends to keep it closed. June engineers a transfer onto his team and runs two investigations at once — his, and the one he doesn't know about. As the season moves forward, her son gets caught in the crossfire, a shocking find forces Hegarty to chase down his daughter, and the events of 2011 surface piece by piece.
