Synopsis

Finding Steve McQueen (2019) is a crime drama you can watch online on iFILM. The year is 1972, and Harry Barber — an Ohio kid who idolizes Steve McQueen and loves fast muscle cars — talks his way into the score of a lifetime.

A tight crew from Youngstown gets a tip: a California bank vault is sitting on millions in cash, illegal donations stashed for Richard Nixon's reelection fund. Money so dirty nobody can ever report it stolen. Travis Fimmel plays the wide-eyed romantic behind the wheel, William Fichtner is the uncle running the job, and Forest Whitaker is the FBI agent slowly closing the gap. The story cuts between the heist itself and years later, when Harry finally tells his girlfriend who he really is.

Director Mark Steven Johnson drew on the actual United California Bank break-in — the largest cash haul ever pulled in the country, and a case that was never fully cracked. It's a light, seventies-soaked ride with a period soundtrack, made for fans of charming crooks and "this really happened" capers. Stream Finding Steve McQueen (2019) online on iFILM.
