Synopsis

Bol and Rial survived the war but lost their young daughter during the boat crossing. The authorities place them in a crumbling council house and forbid them to move, or risk deportation. By day the pair fight suspicious neighbors and a cold bureaucracy; by night something scratches inside the walls and whispers their names. Sope Dirisu and Wunmi Mosaku make grief and terror feel like the same thing. Matt Smith plays their weary caseworker.
Remi Weekes' directorial debut takes the haunted-house skeleton and fills it with survivor's guilt and the trauma of starting over in a hostile place.
